About Browns Bay Pickleball
We play at the East Coast Bays Leisure Centre at 12 Bute Rd in Browns Bay. We have a few types of sessions:
Open play – all levels welcome from beginners playing for the first time to advanced players:
– Monday 3pm-6pm
– Wednesday 10:00am – 2:30pm*
– Thursday 12:30pm – 2:30pm*
– Thursday 6pm – 8:30pm
– Friday 12:00pm – 2:30pm*
Everyone is welcome to turn up and join in these open play sessions. Open play is a great way to start out. Paddles provided if needed.
Registration required sessions – sign up needed on Global Pickleball Network to attend. There may be a skill level requirement for these sessions and a cap on numbers, you’ll find the details on Global Pickleball Network:
– Tuesday 6:15pm – 8:30pm – Experienced to Advanced players only.
– Saturday 8am – 10am – Open play, developing intermediate players welcome, no capacity to help beginners starting out.
– Sunday 3pm – 5pm – League session, intermediate and up, limited to 20 players. This session costs $10
*Daytime sessions are during the school term, they are normally canceled during the school holidays to make way for school holiday programs. There is usually a 11am-1:30pm Wednesday session during school holidays. Check out our Facebook page or Pickleball Auckland for updates.
The cost is $6.30 per session paid directly to the centre reception on arrival, cash and card payments are accepted.
Sunday league sessions are $10 paid in advance via internet banking.
At times we ask for donations to buy new balls and occasionally new loan paddles and nets.
If you’re new to Pickleball, you’re very welcome to come and have a go at any daytime session, Monday afternoon or on Thursday evening.
